We Are All K.C. Hall

To say this book is a change of pace for me is a massive understatement. It’s not science fiction. It’s a contemporary novel. K.C. Hall, the titular character, came to me while I was in the middle of writing First Encounters. She demanded that I write her story. I know that sounds strange but that’s how it happened. So, I finished First Encounters then set about writing We Are All K.C. Hall. From start to finish it took me thirty two days. That’s the fastest I’ve ever written anything…EVER.

If you had asked me six months let alone a year ago if I’d ever write anything besides science fiction, I would have said, “No way!” But now, after the experience of writing (the first part of) K.C.’s story it’s hard for me to think of a world in which I would not write in this vein. Yes, there will be more of K.C. Hall and her crew. In fact, I’ve already started the next book in the series.

We Are All K.C. Hall is the story of a young actress trying to make it big. She’s almost there. She’s been working her ass off for several years. She’s had some success. She’s just about to get her big break. But now she has to deal with her estranged mother who has just written a book about K.C.’s childhood. Uh-oh.
