Mat the Cat

I have been working on this story (as noted in various blog posts) for a few months now (4/1/19). It is definitely a lighter, more playful story than I’ve written in the past few years. Although in hindsight, L.A.ser Boy has plenty of lighter moments, too. I have been looking to balance out the serious and the silly in works ever since finishing Hold Still the Sky. Monsters of Utopia and its slightly surreal moments led me to write Far Shores of Saucerland (more on that in the blog) which led me to L.A.ser Boy and, now, Mat the Cat. Mat is a regular guy who finds himself in an odd scenario and has to figure out what’s going on. It’s a (not so) short story and is available in both digital and paperback.
